In my 30 years of involvement in management, I’ve had the privilege of gaining extensive experience across various areas of business administration, policy development, service design, analytics, implementation, strategic planning, online marketing, strategic management, corporate performance, and partnership development. Currently, I proudly serve as the founder and CEO of several businesses. I’ve also had the opportunity to work as a consultant for esteemed academic organizations such as Mount Royal University and provincial bodies like the Alberta Schools Athletic Association.

Completing my Masters Degree in Business Administration, with a focus on innovation in business and change management consulting, at the University of Fredericton was a transformative experience. Additionally, I earned my kinesiology and business degrees with a minor in coaching from Minot State University in the United States, where I was on scholarship for football and track and field. To further expand my expertise, I’ve pursued certifications through IBM in the field of Artificial Intelligence and from Rice University in the area of Equity, Diversity and Inclusion.

Being inducted into the Alberta Sports Hall of Fame in 2018 was an incredible honor, and it strengthened my commitment to building strong teams, not only in sports but also in the professional setting. As a recognized author, keynote speaker, and expert, I’ve had the pleasure of sharing my insights through various media platforms, including television, print, radio, and podcasts.

In my role as the Chairperson for the Hockey Alberta Equality Diversity and Inclusion Committee, I lead a diverse committee in creating recommendations to promote diversity, inclusion, and equality within the sport of hockey in Alberta. We draw upon the historical context of racism and discrimination in hockey and address emerging needs to support a sustainable priority for Hockey Alberta. Our aim is to provide recommended policies, standards, and resources that benefit Hockey Alberta, its stakeholders, and its 100,000+ members.

As the Executive Director of Strive Fitness and Athletics in Calgary, Alberta, I’ve had the pleasure of spearheading a range of initiatives, including business development, social media marketing, visual merchandising, service education, and enhancing customer experiences. Working with a dedicated team, we’ve created online initiatives and educational programs for industry professionals, as well as community-based programs and initiatives. I’ve also overseen the construction, purchasing, and operation of recreational facilities spanning up to 58,000 square feet. By merging conflicting customer relations management systems and digitizing client information, we have significantly improved our business processes and efficiency, benefiting our 5,000+ client contacts.

Throughout my career, I’ve had the privilege of achieving numerous highlights, including specializing in change management and business innovation through my MBA, earning a B.Sc. degree in Corporate Wellness and Business Administration, serving as a Business Coach and EDI Specialist, being a business owner for over 28 years, and accumulating more than 30 years of experience in the sport and fitness industry. I’ve had the opportunity to coach hundreds of professional athletes in various leagues, such as the NHL, NFL, MLB, CFL, MLS, and Premier League. As a former US College Football and Track and Field athlete, I bring a unique perspective to my coaching and training endeavors.
